August Preschool Storytime - Swimming Stories

Our Preschool Storytimes are scheduled for Fridays at 11:00 a.m.  Preschool storytime is geared towards children ages 18 months to 4 years of age, although younger and older siblings and friends are always welcome to participate.  It is a great way to introduce young children to an age-appropriate "school" environment, such as sharing materials with others.  It is also a great way to encourage pre-literacy skills such as "print motivation" (thinking that books and reading are fun) and "print awareness" (recognizing print and understanding how books work).  Preschool storytimes are "drop-in", no registration needed events, so just come on by.  Here is August's line-up:

Make:  some floaters for Maisy

August 16
Read:  Peppa Goes Swimming by Neville Astey
Make:  a rubber ducky

August 23
Read:  Saturday is Swimming Day by Hyewon Yum
Chase:  some bubbles outside

August 30
Read:  Otter: Let's Go Swimming by Sam Garton
Enjoy:  a summer treat
